SANTE D'OR ACHIEVES ITS MATCHING GRANT!

We are PROUD and DELIGHTED to announce that we have raised a total of $15,714, and so qualify to receive the matching gift of $15,000! 

We couldn't have done it without the hard work of our incredible volunteers, our wonderful Executive Director, and our Board of Directors! Together, we generated community awareness, sponsorships, hand-made scarves, holiday tributes, the Snowball Fund, and pledges from family, adopters, and friends.

Your generosity allows us to continue to save, care for and neuter hundreds of companion animals through our adoption, education, and outreach programs, and we thank you.

So please continue your support, whenever you can spare an extra dollar. It's a grim time for animals with the economy and pet over-population problem growing more serious everyday. We can't do it without YOU! Every animal in our charge who is now safe, warm, and loved, will know who you are!

 

HELP KEEP OUR DOORS OPEN! As a result of the economy, one of our key grant sources has informed us it is restructuring its focus, and we will not be included in this year's appropriation. This puts Sante D'or at a critical juncture in its operation. We need to create new ways to meet our funding needs or we will be forced to close our doors. So we are launching an immediate SAVE SANTE D'OR campaign.

We are very excited to announce that a very generous donor has offered us the opportunity to receive a matching donation of $15,000. This amount will be awarded only if a corresponding $15,000 is raised in additional donations or pledges by February 29, 2009. So far, we have raised $12,404 of our $15,000 matching donation - that's 83% of our goal!

~ Commit to a $500 Annual Sponsorship  for one of our animals

~ Set up an automatic monthly donation in any amount you specify using our convenient Paypal link on the Donate Page.

Currently, Sante D'Or houses and cares for more than 40 animals at the rescue, with more in foster homes. Many have special needs because of age and physical condition and may never be placed in homes. We are committed to providing food, shelter, medical care and hope for animals from your community streets who have nowhere else to turn. Closing our doors would be devastating!

In Memory of Snowball    

Thanks to our wonderful volunteer, Johanna, this photo was submitted to and posted on the website, Cute Overload.
 
Sante D'or received an incredible outpouring of support from people all over the country (and even London) to help with our animal rescue and adoption efforts.
 
Although little Snowball did not survive the ordeal of being abandoned at our door, her brief life inspired donations that will help us save and care for countless other animals who have suffered the same fate. May she rest in peace!
