DID YOU ATTEND OUR "CAUSE FOR PAWS" SPRING FUNDRAISER?

On Sunday, June 22, Sante D'Or threw open its doors for our first open house fundraising event: A Cause for Paws! For the afternoon, our animals hosted a cocktail party and vegetarian buffet where neighbors, adopters and friends of the rescue were invited to gather with the animals and check out their rescue home. Guests also visited the patio to dine, drink and bid on items donated by local businesses. In spite of the scorching heat, a great time was had by all!

THANKS FOR COMING TO OUR ESTATE SALE!

Thanks to everyone who participated in our recent estate sale on Saturday, June 14, 2008. We greatly appreciate the donated items we received from friends, the hardworking team who coordinated every important detail of the day's event, the alternate team who managed the Santé D'Or space while we were at the sale and the terrific folks who stopped by to find great deals and help us raise funds for our rescue efforts. We couldn't have done it without the assistance of our trusted volunteers and the support of our neighborhood. See you at the next yard sale! Keep checking our website for future dates...

SANTE D'OR AT THE 2008 LOS FELIZ VILLAGE STREET FAIR

On Sunday, June 8, 2008, Sante D'Or participated in this year's Los Feliz Village Street Fair. Our booth was visited by many folks in the community who lended their support and expressed interest in some of our new kittens. We had a wonderful time and were happy to provide information about our organization's efforts.

COCKTAILS FOR CRITTERS FUNDRAISER SUCCESS!

The event was attended by board members, volunteers, donors, adopters and supporters of Santé D’Or.

Santé D’Or’s Fall fundraiser, “Cocktails for Critters,” was a huge success! On September 9, 2007, over 100 people gathered to  eat, drink and bid, all in support of Los Feliz’s no-kill animal rescue. Thanks to the kind folks at Royal Clayton’s Restaurant & Bar in downtown Los Angeles for supplying the space and a delicious vegetarian buffet. Thanks also to the many local businesses for their generous donation of goods and services for the silent auction.  

In addition to the funds raised, we are pleased to announce our other successes: a fun evening was shared, and most importantly new volunteers, foster families, and sponsors joined our Santé D’Or family! Watch for more information about our next fundraising event.

HUMANE EDUCATION AT LOS ANGELES MIDDLE SCHOOLS

In 2007, we participated in a new community service program at CBS. Through this program, we partnered with an underprivileged school that was also participating in the CBS program. In April, Santé D’Or brought two dogs to the school and gave a presentation to the students regarding how to take care of and approach animals. The students made donation jars as part of an arts and crafts project and collected coins over a period of a few weeks.
