SUCCESS STORIES
We'd love to hear how the animals are doing in their new homes! If you’d like to send us pictures and stories about your new lives together, we will update this section from time to time. Here’s what a few happy families have told us:
OATLEY BEAR & SANDRA
My 'Oatley Bear" has quite a personality! I do believe Oatley is a mixed breed with a black mountain lion...I have way too much fun with him. He stays by my side, he watches TV (he loves car chases), he plays catch with a full size basketball and he sings. He follows me around the house all day. He actually speaks, I swear! Now, I know I may be a crazy cat lady, but we have conversations in his language, so now I speak "CAT." l love him so much... |

REMY & LINDA & JAMES
Remy is such a good kitty and he seems to be adapting well to his new environment. He's eating well, playing, pooping, sleeping, purring, cuddling - seems very poised and comfortable with himself. You guys did an amazing job with giving him joy and confidence. We're so grateful for that! He's a very quick learner with regards to understanding where he is and is not allowed to go. Whenever he finds a new place he hasn't been yet, he meows really loudly so that we'll come over and see him. It almost seems like he's saying, "Look at me, is it ok for me to be here?" After a few times of being instructed not to do something, like jump up on the kitchen table, he pretty much stops doing it. It's very cool! Thanks again for giving Remy so much love! He is such a sweetheart! |

PUMA & PIPER & EVAN
We rescued Puma and Piper in October 2007. They are very loving and affectionate cats. Friendly to strangers and great snuggle buddies. Puma likes to flush the toilet when no one is looking, and roll on her back to get a belly rub at every opportunity. Piper likes to jump up on the table and finish the milk at the bottom of the cereal bowl, and crawl into small spaces in the closet and hide. They have been such a wonderful addition to our lives and we are so glad we decided to rescue them form Sante D'Or. |

MINNIE & MOE & CELINE & PASCALE
Minnie and Moe, brother and sister, were abandoned after their owner died, and lived for a year under a house. They were so frightened that we had to trap them so that they could come to our rescue. They were adopted by sisters, Celine and Pascale, who report that "Pascale and I are still, and will always be, MADLY IN LOVE with Minnie and Moe. We absolutely love them and couldn't imagine our lives without the two!" |

LOLA & MARION
My last dog had to be put to sleep a few weeks before Thanksgiving last year. Then you brought Lola over, to see if I could help get her to start eating again, and of course she's never left! I'm beginning to lose my sight, and she is so much help to me. She's fit right in and is wonderful company. She loves all people, but won't let any other dogs into the house! She's definitely the queen around here. |

JACKIE & JACK
Adopting a pet from Santé D'Or is one of the nicest things you can do. You get to support a no-kill animal rescue group. You help them make room for other animals to save. And you end up with a new family member. That is truly how it felt when I adopted my kitty. When I began to care for my kitty, it took me a day to go from feeling that it was my duty, to feeling lucky that I get to take care of my kitty. Sometimes I don't know who gets more love: My kitty from me or me from my kitty. |
